I recently attended The Elevation Experience, a week-long virtual micro course taught by Tracy Litt, a Certified Mindset Coach, Rapid Transformational Therapist, speaker and author. Tracy’s highly potent sessions are focused on practicing deep self-discovery. I found it to be a wonderful experience with an interactive, nurturing community, where I was given space to be seen, heard and loved, before, during and after.
I wanted to share something I learned on the very first day: the Power of Calm, which I found to be particularly timely and relevant during this time of social isolation, and which I plan to continue with daily even after things are back to “normal”.
To Practice Calm:
5 times a day for the next 7 days, pause to Breathe on Purpose, using the 4-4-4-4 method (Breath in 4 seconds, hold 4 seconds, breath out 4 seconds, and just be for 4 seconds) and repeat it 3 times. Set alarms on your phone to remind you, and choose reminders that inspire you. For example, mine are Breathe for Calm, Breathe for Clarity, Breathe for Growth, Breath to Open Possibilities, Breathe to Honor Myself.
What would change in your life if you created a sense of calm multiple times in a day?
