Summer Poem: Part II

SUMMER POEM: PART II

Mid Summer Feelings.

What was indoors became outdoors now changes back to indoors, but only due to summer storms and high humidity.

Ice cream and Kona ice trucks jingle.

Kids still at camp.

Real vacations, away from home.

Road trips to discover places we can visit again.

Cruise bookings, flights, and family reunions.

Outdoor meals, cafe lunches.

Weddings and family gatherings full steam ahead.

More networking in person, ease up on Zooms.

Bridge walks and beach visits.

Waves crashing.

Shell collecting, those glass jars are filling.

Change up our shoe game.

Open toe sandals are here, my pedicured toes wiggle free.

Cover ups and oversized hats,

Beach bags, sand still in there from last year.

Coolers in the car.

Early back-to-school ads. Already?

The feelings of summer unmatched.

Enjoying summer adventures, except for all the traffic.
