Pivoting

Resilience. It’s what keeps us strong. Keeps us going.

One of the buzzwords of 2020 is “pivot.”

Pivoting is the ability to cope with unexpected circumstances and continue to find a way to let the good things shine. Sounds easy, but it isn’t always. It doesn’t just “happen,” it’s something we have to work on consciously.

The ability to pivot keeps us resilient.

“How we navigate a crisis or traumatic event (and the coronavirus has many characteristics of trauma because it is unpredictable and uncontrollable) depend in large part on how resilient we are. Resilience is the ability to recover from difficult experiences and setbacks, to adapt, move forward and sometimes even experience growth.”
